ANDREA LOMBARDINI is one of Europe’s most original electric bass players. Winner of Euro Bass Day contest in 2004, he is equally at home in many musical styles and has been playing jazz professionally since 2000 with Italian top players like Pietro Tonolo, Francesco Bearzatti, Gianluca Petrella, Roberto Cecchetto, Tommaso Cappellato, Camilla Battaglia and many others.


He has also played with Donny McCaslin, Michael Blake, Dave Binney, Josh Johnson, Steve Cardenas, Jason Lindner, Ambrose Akinmusire, Mark de Clive-Lowe, Melanie Charles, Shabaka Hutchings, Jonas Burgwinkel and others.

As a leader and co-leader he recorded Alt88, a piano trio with Leo Genovese and Bob Gullotti; the Broken Band quintet with Fulvio Sigurtà, Federico Casagrande, Francesco Bigoni and Marcos Cavaleiro; The Framers with Phil Mer and Jason LindnerpoL0 with Paolo Porta and Em4ncipation with Yah Supreme and Alessandro Rossi. His last record Diminuendo with Michel Godard and Emanuele Maniscalco is released internationally on CAM Jazz label.

He plays and tours internationally with post-noise bands Buñuel (with Eugene Robinson) and Robox.

He also played and recorded with several Italian pop stars like Mario Biondi, Malika Ayane, Red Canzian and Annalisa Scarrone.

After obtaining his degree in Philosophy with a thesis on improvisation and, later, in Jazz Music at the Steffani Conservatory of Music, he now teaches electric bass at Conservatory of Music in Venice and Siena.
